In 5/6 I and J we have been learning different abilities of Google, every student in 5/6 have an individual google account. Almost everyday we use Google to advance our learning routine.
Lately we have been using Google docs to share our thinking to the class. In Google docs we can share the document to whoever we want with or without a Google account, this enables everyone who the document has been shared to able to either edit, comment or view. As someone is typing you can see and edit what they are writing without interfering with their work.
A few weeks ago chrome books have been delivered to our school, chrome books are laptops that run on Google applications. As a year level we have created protocols on how we should use our technology, everyone commented a “we will always …..” statement on the document. Everyday we learn something new about Google and how we can use it to improve the way we learn in St. Leonard’s. We are all looking forward to using all our devices in the year ahead!!
